Eskimo 17 was the first model
of our Eskimo series introduced to the boating world. It
was accepted with overwhelming enthusiasm and quickly deemed
the most capable and best-looking seacruiser on the market.
The Eskimo's dry ride comes from its
high-volume bow and graceful, raked ends. The boat handles
well in all sea conditions, including chop and stiff breezes.
The hull design is extremely well balanced and handles well
off the wind. The streamlined, high-performance hull slices
through the waves with minimum resistance and, with its
low profile, the boat tracks well against annoying crosswinds.
A kayak with a choice. Eskimo
17 CRX 3G incorporates the innovative CR-System,
the basis for our popular Catamaran, Outrigger, and Sailing
options. It comes with all the outfitting and deluxe options
of every kayak in the Eskimo CRX 3G series.
James Chute, boat tester
for CANOE MAGAZINE, writes:
...Eskimo has good
initial stability for photography and fishing, while the
final stability is just short of phenomenal. This combination
is quite evident when eskimo-rolling: once the boat turns
the corner, it fairly leaps to the upright position... I
was most impressed by the Eskimo's excellent surfing manners...
In this boat, when the seas come from behind, you'll just
get a smooth lift with full control. In short, the Eskimo's
basic design is that of a forgiving, but fully capable ocean
tourer... The Eskimo has one final feature that makes it
ideal for ocean touring: it will bring you back home!"
