needs
Fiberglass Construction
The term "custom" would be more appropriate
to describe the high-quality construction of our regular fiberglass
models. These boats are handcrafted using the best grade of flatweave
fiberglass fabrics and resilient resins available. Selective use
of extra cloth layers and unidirectional fibers reinforce areas
prone to impact or subject to abrasion. All Easy Rider composite
fiberglass boats are of the highest quality. They are built to be
lifetime boats to be passed on to the next generation.

Custom Glass Construction
The construction method is identical to our
Kevlar®/Graphite boats. Custom glass boats feature multi-layer
fine-weave glass fabrics instead of Kevlar® fabrics. The fabrics
used are of the same weave and thickness as our Kevlar® fabrics.
Extra reinforcements are used in impact areas. A smoother interior
finish and weight savings are achieved over the standard fiberglass
construction.
This construction method is standard with all our Eskimo kayaks.

Kevlar®/Graphite Construction
Lightweight Construction & Maximized
Performance. A lightweight boat makes
loading and unloading much easier. That means it will get much more
spur-of-the-moment use, for daily exercise and relaxation. For increased
performance, marathon or triathlon racers generally insist on owning
lightweight Kevlar® or Graphite racing machines.
Heavy-Duty Construction & Expedition
Strength. A heavy-duty construction
is your best choice when ruggedness for whitewater or remote expeditions
is desired.
This construction is standard for all our Eskimo Take-A-Part
kayaks.
KEVLAR® 49
aramid is a synthetic miracle fiber developed by Du Pont.
Kevlar®
is the strongest man-made fiber in existence. Pound for pound, it
is five times stronger than steel, yet weighs only half as much
as a glass fiber of equal diameter.
Kevlar® is used in the manufacture of lightweight bullet-proof
vests.

Featherweight All-Graphite Construction
Serious racers favor super-light All-Graphite boats. These boats
accelerate faster during sprints and guarantee a quicker response
during maneuvers. Because of the stiffness of the graphite fiber,
we can produce featherlight kayaks and backpack canoes weighing
less than 28 pounds.
GRAPHITE
(carbon) is a lightweight and super-strong
fiber and well known to fishing enthusiasts
through light, stiff fishing rods. When properly engineered, carbon
fiber composites can achieve the strength and stiffness of metal
parts with significant weight savings.

Caroline Garland, Washington
...People always come up to
me to ask about this kayak and to see if I am a senior power lifter!
The graphite was the right choice for me. At the age of 61, I am
looking forward to kayaking for the rest of my life..."

Super-Tough Royalex®
ABS Construction

Remember:
Fiberglass, Kevlar®, Graphite,
and Royalex® ABS are superior to polyethylene material. Polyethylene
is no match!
