TSL-I Decked Canoe
|
Don McCune, an
outdoor adventure and television personality, narrates
our buyer's guide video:
|
They first met many years ago when Peter Kaupat had just founded
Easy Rider. The occasion was a canoe trip down Idaho's Clearwater
before a dam flooded the river's upper section. McCune, who
was then host and writer for Exploration Northwest, a weekly
series aired on Seattle television, was filming the trip for
his Northwest viewers.
Peter had just completed building his very first boat, the
TSL-I, and McCune was offered the center cockpit for the downriver
run. McCune became an Easy Rider fan from the start. And,
in a sense, Easy Rider's big action video, travel log, and
buyer's guide was a welcomed repeat performance between old
friends.
After narrating the 2 1/4-hour video,
McCune reports, "Nothing could please me more than being
part of the Easy Rider team!"
Three paddlers (Peter, Barbara
& Don) give the TSL-I an added thrust... The high-capacity
TSL-I easily carries three paddlers and camping gear for two
weeks on the Clearwater River, Idaho.

"...My daughters and I have caught record lingcod
near Point No Point. My wife and I have sailed around
Mercer Island. We've paddled with our daughters around
Baker Lake. I've gone through Deception Pass at high tide,
with fishing boat captains looking at my downrigger-equipped
canoe in disgust and amazement... In short, it's a fun,
versatile boat that allows you to safely do whatever you
want with a boat (except waterski)..." |
